About the Lecture
Kim Woodbury will share stories from the life of Ann Cannon Woodbury, sister of Apostle George Q. Cannon. Ann converted to the gospel when she was eight years old and never wavered in her testimony. She and her husband, Orin Woodbury, were called to help settle St. George, Utah. Her new surroundings were forbidding, but she devoted herself to making a life for her family there and building the Church and community. Living into her 90s, her faithfulness was an example to her family for generations.
Kim Woodbury is a third great granddaughter of Ann Cannon Woodbury. Kim works for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a public affairs area relations manager. Previously, she worked in marketing and communications for the Family History and Church History Departments. She has written for television news, magazines, and newspapers. Kim has a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Utah and is currently in the Master of Professional Communication program at Westminster College.
