Top Ten Church History Moments in Philadelphia
In 2008, President Thomas S. Monson announced the construction of a temple in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ground was broken in 2011 for this beautiful new temple, with a design inspired by the Colonial architecture of the area. Now members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the northeastern United States eagerly await the dedication of this new temple in September 2016.
Philadelphia was the site of some of the most momentous events in early American history.
