The Church History Library is excited to announce its sponsorship of RootsTech 2026, the world’s largest global family history gathering. This year’s event will take place March 5–7, 2026, both in person at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City and online through RootsTech.org.

Featured Presentations from the Church History Library
This year, library staff will offer two educational presentations:
1. Exploring the Church History Biographical Database and Its Unique Datasets
This session will highlight how to navigate the Church History Biographical Database, understand its structure, and leverage its one‑of‑a‑kind datasets—including manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, and more—to advance genealogical research.
2. Finding Your Family in Church History
This presentation will introduce attendees to the online tools (including the catalog and biographical database), digitized collections, and on-site resources available at the Church History Library. Patrons will learn practical methods for locating Latter-day Saint ancestors in historical documents, journals, membership records, and institutional collections.
