JH, 23 June 1835. On this day, it was necessary for Abraham O. Smoot to return to his home in the south on account of ill health according to Wilford Woodruff. JH: 23 Jan 1837. JH: 8 Oct 1844: BY selected men from the HP quorum to go out on missions in the US. Abraham O. Smoot was 2nd on the list. JH: 16 Feb 1845 - Abraham O. Smoot presided at a conference held in Tuscaloosa county, Alabama. He was serving the Five Mile Branch of Perry County, with 22 members. At the conference, he delivered a discourse on the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.
