A child was born to Abigail in Iowa on 8 January 1850, and the family appears on the 1850 Utah Census, which was taken in the Spring on 1851. This was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration, which proves that they arrived in Utah in 1850. Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company that they traveled to Utah with.
