Agnes Rawlins
John Rawlins was a iron worker from England. He and his wife and two daughters arrived in New York on 6 July 1866 via the ship Arkwright. Overland company records only list John, as head of household, but the notation that he purchased six adult food rations for the journey indicate that the rest of his family accompanied him the rest of the way to the Valley. It is uncertain who the other 2 food rations were for. His PEF account balance supports only a traveling group of four, with a little additional luggage.
Further research is needed to determine who these individuals were. A John Midwinter Rawlins is seen years later in California, so perhaps the family continued immediately on after arriving in the Valley.
