Alexander Jacobson
Alexander arrived with his parents, Anders and Matilda, in New York on 18 July 1866 via the ship Humboldt. Only Anders' name appears on the overland company records as head of household, but it shows he purchased two adult food rations for that portion of the journey, indicating that Matilda was still with him when he crossed the plains.
A historical sketch taken from his father's own words, while he was still living, confirms that Anders and Matilda traveled together. One daughter died during the sea voyage, and one son (Alexander) reached the Valley with them.
