Additional Information
Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that Alexander traveled to Utah sometime between 1849 and 1851. He sailed to America on the Erin's Queen, arriving in New Orleans 7 Sep. 1848. The first documentation to place him in Utah is his marriage 5 Jan. 1852, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.
