Alfred is recorded in the company records as having purchased three adult food rations. Hannah and Hannah Mounsey or Morency (mother and daughter) traveled in the same ship with him. At some point, Hannah the daughter and Alfred married. It is uncertain if it happened en route or after they reached the valley. At any rate, it is likely that the 2 other adult food rations were for them. The amount owed in the PEF records also indicate a traveling party of three.
