Alice Aston Bishop
She sailed to America in 1850 on the ship Argo.
Her obituary indicates that she arrived in the Valley in 1851. She had two sons (Henry and Phillip) who came to the Valley in 1850, but another son (Richard) came to the Valley in 1851. It is very likely that she was traveling with him in the John Brown Company, but further research is needed to confirm that.
Her birth date is confirmed by the Salt Lake Seventeenth Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 27 March 1857.
