Alice Singleton
Alice and her son are in the 1851 England census. 1865 affidavits included in a "Claim For Mother's Pension" indicate that Alice and her son Thomas traveled to Utah Territory sometime during the 1850's. In 1862 Thomas engaged as a teamster traveling back to the States; there he joined Company A of the Iowa Volunteers and served in the Civil War until the following year when he died of disease at Little Rock, Arkansas.
