Alva Zabriskie

His birth date is confirmed by Provo 2nd Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 16 July 1854. This is the first documentation to place him in the Valley and would have been too early for him to already have crossed the plains during that emigration season. He could have traveled any time between 1851, (he is seen in Iowa on the 3rd of October 1850 when the census was enumerated in his area, which was past that year's emigration season) and 1853. Further research is needed to narrow the time of his travel and identify the name of the company he traveled with.
