March 15, 1921 Elders Redd, Steward, and Anderson are serving together in Long Beach, California. (Calimis 5:4); March 25, 1921, Elder Redd spoke in a public meeting in Long Beach refuting libelous slander against the church and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. He also answered questions from the audience at the conclusion of the meeting. (Calimis 6:1); Long Beach, July 9, 1921- A few days ago Elder Redd and Anderson were called to administer to a sick child whose parents were not members of the Church. A few days later the child died and the parents asked the missionaries to conduct the funeral services, not withstanding the fact that the grandfather of the child was a Methodist minister. (Calimis 13:9); July 17, 1921 Long Beach Conference created and Elder Redd was sustained as president of the new organization where 14 missionaries are laboring in this area at the present time.
