Andrew Lafayette Siler
Evidence from census and church ordinance records proves that Andrew Siler likely traveled to Utah in 1849. Further research is needed to confirm the name of the company with which he traveled. In the 1850 federal census of Utah his surname is spelled "Syler."
Andrew served as captain of four independent wagons in the 1856 James G. Willie company. He left the company at Fort Laramie to join the Hodgetts company.
