Andrew Patterson
Andrew and his family traveled to America on the ship Sailor Prince arriving in New Orleans on 20 November 1848. His wife Margaret Fife Patterson died in Missouri. He married Jane McGill Nelson in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1851. Family tradition infers that they traveled in the Higbee-Bay company, but further research is needed to confirm that.
He is seen on the plains again as an assistant to Captain John Holladay's 1866 out-and-back company.
