Ann McLachlan

Wife of John Carlin. Mother of Ann, Mary, Jane, Margaret and James. Ann emigrated from Scotland with her husband and children. They traveled from Liverpool to New York City by way of the ship General McClellan. The Carlin family is listed on two separate company rosters for the 1864 Warren Company and the 1864 Rawlins Company. This could have been due to a recording error, however, it is also possible that the family moved from one company to the other while en route. The Warren company roster includes the names of each individual family member, while the Rawlins Company list of passengers is written as "John Carlin and family."
