Anna Catrina Hultberg
Daughter of Christopher and Karna Hultberg. James Jensen's reminiscence of the journey across the plains tells the story of a "Swede by the name of Hulberg." Jensen states that Christopher was advised to remain behind in Florence being that his wife was feeble and they had two small children. He supposedly proceeded in the rear of the company undetected until it was too far to turn back to Florence. Jensen records that "much of the way he [Christopher] had carried his children and even his wife upon the cart which he was able to pull by means of his superior strength and irresistible desire to reach the land of Zion."
