In some sources her surname is spelled "Petersen". Her given name is listed as "Anna" on the Deseret News roster.

She was from Sweden and crossed the Atlantic with her parents and some of her siblings on the ship Athenia in 1862 under the surname "Petersen."

In the 1900 census of Lehi, Utah she is Hannah Christofferson. The census confirms that she immigrated in 1862.
