Augustus appears in the 1850 Iowa Census in the household of his father "Lucious Binham" [sic]. The first documentation to place him in Utah is a Deseret News article entitled "Green River Expedition," (1 December 1853, p. 4). Since his family traveled to Utah in the Miller/Cooly pioneer company, Augustus must have been with them.
