Bada Swartling
Ellen Lena and Bada Swaartling sailed to America in 1863 on the ship John J. Boyd.
Evidence from emigration and church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records also proves that they traveled to Utah in 1863.
In the 1870 Utah census, she is listed as being in the household of David Reese.
The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Bada Swartling Purser."
