Benjamin Salkield
Benjamin traveled with his wife, Martha, and two children, William and Sarah on the ship Zetland arriving in New Orleans on 26 December 1849. Their surname was spelled "Sokehill" on the ship.
At the time of a rebaptism in the Millcreek Ward on 15 March 1857, he gave his birth date as 7 March 1811, but other records, such as his obituary and patriarchal blessing list a birth year of 1812 and Find A Grave as 1813.
Benjamin's children belong to his first wife, Emma.
