Bolivar Roberts
Several secondary biographical sources mention that Bolivar came to Utah in 1850 (and one source stated that he came in David Evans's company). These sources include: (1) Orson F. Whitney, "History of Utah," vol. 4, 628; (2) "Utah Since Statehood," vol. 3, 566; and (3) "LDS Biographical Encyclopedia," vol. 1, 498. However Bolivar's name does not appear in the 1850 Utah census. There is also evidence for him being in the 1851 Garden Grove company in Susan Zimmerman Terry's 1916 letter, written many years after the company traveled to Utah. At this point, research has been unable to identify which year he traveled to Utah, although 1850 is the likely year.
