Carl David Anderson

Carl is the son of Andrew O. And Gertrude Anderson.  The Anderson family came to Utah in 1866 or 1867. They crossed the Atlantic on the Ship Humboldt in 1866 under the surname "Roos."  The first documentation we have to show them in Utah is a child born in Oct. 1867.  The 1900 Utah census indicates Carl immigrated in 1867 but other family members gave 1866 as their year of immigration.  Further research is needed to identify the exact year they crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled. Some sources list their surname as "Akesson".
