Carl Wilhelm Olsson

Charles crossed the Atlantic as C. W. Olsson on the ship Cavour in 1866.  He was assisted by the Perpetual Emigrating Fund (he is listed as Carl W. "Olsen" in the P. E. F. records.)  He was re-baptized at Grantsville, Tooele County, Utah on 29 October 1867 and his name appears as "Chas. Oulson" in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia at Grantsville on 30 December 1867.)  He married Helena Eklund in Utah and they both appear in the 1870 federal census of Utah at Tooele (he is Charles W. "Oleson," she "Ellen Oleson").
