Catherine Elizabeth Thomas
Catherine crossed the Atlantic with members of her family on the ship Golconda in 1854. She was the only one to survive the cholers epidemic of that year. Her birth date, presumably given by herself, is found in the 1900 federal census of Utah. It is found also on her Utah death certificate and in her obituary that says she crossed the plains at age ten. Her death date is from her death certificate. These dates do not correspond with the ones found in New Family Search. Additional research is needed to identify the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.
