Catherine Orthelia Kidd

Catherine's obituary indicates she traveled to Utah in 1848, however, she is seen in Iowa with her two brothers at the time of the 1850 census, which was enumerated on the 25th of October. The 19 March 1853 issue of the Deseret News announced her marriage to James McClenahan on 13 March 1853 in Utah so she must have traveled in either 1851 or 1852. She most likely traveled with her brothers in the Outhouse Company of 1852. Her name is not explicitly listed on the roster, but her brother Alexander is recorded as traveling with a group of three adults and two children. She was likely one of the adults.
