Charles Christen Pedersen

Charles Pedersen came with his mother, Ellen Pedersen on the ship Kenilworth in 1866. His given name on the ship records is recorded as Carl. They were traveling under his maternal grandfather's surname of Pedersen, but Charles' surname on the parish register documents him as the child of Ellen Bendixsen.

After he arrived in the Valley, he was adopted by another couple when his mother married, and he assumed their surname of Terkelsen.
