Charles Shumway

Birth date is confirmed by the missionary register, and his birth and death dates are also confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone.

Shumway traveled in the vanguard company with his son Andrew. He served as captain of 10. Several years later, while returning from a mission in Canada, he traveled with the John W. Berry company in 1858.
