He appears on the manifest of the ship Argo in 1850 as a 24-year-old miller. He was rebaptized on 26 Oct. 1851 and his birthdate is listed as 7 August 1828. In the 1860 Utah census he is in the 1880 Utah census he is 52 years old. In his obituary his birth date is 3 November 1828; in the Early Church Information File his birth date is 13 November 1828. Church ordinance records prove he arrived in Utah in 1851.
