David Booth
Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that David came to Utah between 1851 and 1864. He sailed to America in 1850 on the ship North Atlantic, arriving in New Orleans, Louisiana 1 November 1850. The first documentation to place him in Utah is his rebaptism in the Thirteenth Ward on 2 November 1861. His obituary states that he "came to Plain City, [Utah] in the early '50's." Further research is needed to determine the year he arrived in Utah and the name of the pioneer company he traveled with.
His birth and death dates are confirmed by his death certificate and the inscription on his gravestone.
