David Evans
David made the trip to America with his father, John Evan Evans (born 9 September 1818), step-mother, step-sister, and Benjamin Williams. He is seen with them on the passenger list for The General McClellan, arriving in New York on 23 June 1864. He is also seen in the Spanish Fork Ward records with his family at the time of a rebaptism on 20 November 1864.
However, he is not on the overland Warren Company records with his family. It is likely that both David and Benjamin were hired as teamsters for one of the emigrant wagon trains that season to pay their passage across the plains. Further research is needed to determine if they were teamsters in the Warren company or if they traveled with one of the other 1864 companies.
