Edna Hinchcliff (1828 - 1906) Profile

Edna Hinchcliff

Edna was a widow who came to Utah with her mother and daughter Adaline.  They may have come to Utah with the 1854 James Brown Company, but additional research is needed to confirm the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled.   The first documentation to place her in Utah is her marriage to David Evans on 23 November 1854.

Her birth date is confirmed by the inscription on her gravestone, which shows her surname as "Stimpson."
