Edward Corless
About 1848 Edward received a town lot in Salt Lake City. In 1850 he appears in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia at Salt Lake City and he was re-baptized here this same year. At the time of the 1856 Utah census he was living in the Salt Lake City 4th Ward. In 1857 he was living in Mountainville (modern Alpine, Utah) when he received a mission call to serve either at Deer Creek or Labonta, Wyoming. In 1862 he received a call to the Utah Cotton Mission. In all of these cases his surname is spelled "Carloss."
