Edward Doman
In the 1861 England census Edward is forty-one years old suggesting a birth year of about 1820. Edward, his wife (Rose, Rosehannah, Rosannah,or Rosina) and their children received financial assistance from the Perpetual Emigrating Fund. Their surname was spelled "Domand" on the 1868 manifest of the ship John Bright. Additional research is needed to identify the name of the pioneer company with which they crossed the plains.
A seventeen year old Ann Greaves was in the Doman household in 1861. According to Ancestry.com she was a daughter of Edward and Rose H. S. Doman. In 1868 a twenty-seven year old Ann Doman and a one year old Mary Ann Doman traveled with Edward and family on the ship John Bright; they also appear in the P. E. F. financial records with the family.
