10 Apr 1843 in company with Edward P. Duzette; Elisha Edwards was born Dec. 13, 1806, in Mantua, Portage County, Ohio, the son of Rufus Edwards and Lettie. He was baptized May 1, 1836, and ordained a Seventy Feb.1845. (Sev.Rec.C p 43.) He came to Utah in 1852, and died March 6, 1878, at Manti, Utah. (Des.News of April 17, 1878.) Residence When Called
Journal History p.66 called to leave Sept. 4, 1854, from SLC. At the end of a mission, Elisha traveled home with the Philemon C. Merrill Company in 1856, as captain of a division, according to the diary of Samuel Amos Woolley.
