Eliza Caroline Vaughan

Eliza married Oren Jefferds in Salt Lake City on 23 December 1857, and they were divorced on 6 October 1860.  She would have been 15 years old at the time of their marriage.  We have not been able to determine the year of her arrival in America or in Utah.  Her name does not appear on the 1850 Utah census, so she likely arrived between 1851 and 1857.  Further research is needed to determine the year she came to Utah and the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.

Her name appears in the 1860 Utah census with her husband Oren Jefferds.
