Moved to Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri, winter 1832–1833; to Clay Co., Missouri, Nov. 1833; to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, ca. fall 1836; Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, ca. winter 1838–1839; to Pittsfield, Pike Co., Illinois; and to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Lived with JS’s family, ca. 1841–1844. Joined Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, 19 Apr. 1842. Plural wife of Joseph Smith, sealed on 8 Mar. 1843. Married second Amasa Lyman, 28 Sept. 1844, in Nauvoo. Moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), spring 1846; to Salt Lake Valley, 1848; to Farmington, Davis Co., Utah Territory, by 1860; and to Fillmore, Millard Co., Utah Territory, 1863. Appointed secretary of Fillmore Relief Society, 7 May 1867. Appointed teacher in Fillmore Sunday school at its organization, Mar. 1868. Lived in both Fillmore and Oak City, Millard Co., by 1876. President of primary in Fillmore, after 10 Dec. 1881. Died in Oak City.
