Elizabeth Annice Gentry
Elizabeth traveled overseas in 1862 on the ship William Tapscott with her betrothed William Wood. Wood's autobiography indicates they intended to travel overland together but circumstances forced them to leave the company they planned on traveling with. William ended up driving a wagon in a freight train, while Elizabeth traveled with the family of a Mrs. Wardell in the William H. Dame Company (1862). They married shortly after reuniting in the valley.
