Elizabeth Barrell

The siblings Elizabeth, Isabella, and Henry Charles Barrell sailed to America in 1868 on the ship Colorado.

Evidence from emigration, newspaper and church records proves that they traveled to Utah this same year.

Elizabeth married twice: first to Henry Alonzo Gaines and second to Charles Harris Abbott.  

She was re-baptized 5 October 1886 as Elizabeth Gaines.

Her death certificate shows her name as "Elizabeth Gaines Abbott" but Find A Grave leaves the "S" off of "Gaine"  Her death certificate and the Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database confirm her birth and death dates.

Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.
