Elizabeth Eckersley

Elizabeth, her father Jesse, and step-mother Sarah, arrived in New Orleans on 23 April 1854 via the ship Windermere. Her father died prior to the overland trip. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.

Her birth date is confirmed by Santaquin Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 13 October 1862.  Note that both her death certificate and the inscription show her birth year as 1843.  Her name is shown as "Lizzie Openshaw" on her death certificate.
