Elizabeth Hughes

Wife of William Jones. She was one of the original members of the Relief Society. Church ordinance records prove that the Jones family arrived in Utah before 5 January 1851. Further research is needed to determine the year they came and the name of the company with which they traveled. Elizabeth is buried in the Centerville Pioneer Cemetery, Alameda, California.

It appears that it took some time for Elizabeth's obituary to be published in Utah because she died in California.  It does confirm that she died on the 24th, so likely 24 May 1859.
