Elizabeth Payne

Orphan. Elizabeth's parents both died before coming West. She was the fourth child of five. She and her siblings were placed with various families, and she traveled overland with the William Austin family. She is listed as a member of the Austin household in the 1850 Utah Census.

She married Nephi Rogers in 1859. The surname of "Rogers" appears on her gravestone and Death Certificate.
