Elizabeth Sparks Foster

Evidence from emigration, church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records and immigration records prove that the Foster family traveled to Utah in 1863.  They sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Antarctic and the ship manifest shows their surname as "Forster."  Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled.

Elizabeth's birth and death dates are confirmed by her death certificate, which shows he name as "Elizabeth Sparks Foster Cottam."  The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Elizabeth F. Cottam" and shows her birth date as 21 July 1856, which appears to be incorrect.  Both her death certificate, obituary, and FamilySearch all show her birth date as 21 July 1855.
