Elizabetha Stauffer
Elizabeth, along with many of her extended family, arrived in New York on 16 June 1860 via the ship The William Tapscott. Her brother, Christian, and his family are listed with the 1860 William Budge Company. However, the rest of the family is not seen with them in any of the company records.
The ship records list her as a spinster. PEF records for her father show an amount that would have been consistent for two travelers. Her other married siblings would have been on separate accounts, so it is likely she traveled overland with her father. This same record indicates they arrived in the Valley in 1861. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
