Ellen Hall

In some sources her surname is spelled "Burdsley" or "Birdsley." Listed in the company records as "Emma Birdsley." She was traveling under the surname of her first husband who died before she came to the United States.

She sailed to the U.S. on the ship, Germanicus in 1854. After arriving to the U.S. she became pregnant with her son, William. It is believed that his father was James Fergus. William was born in Missouri one month before the company left for Utah. 

In 1857, Ellen married Thomas Davidson.
