In the 1850 Utah census her given name is spelled "Helen."  She married James Lafayette Searle.

Her birth date is noted at the time of her baptism recorded in the Utah Stake City Ward records as having occurred on 9 July 1854.

Her travel to Utah is confirmed by her obituary.
