Emily Judson Howarth
Emily crossed the Atlantic as a single woman on the ship Columbia in 1856. Evidence from genealogical records proves that the Howarth family traveled to Utah in 1859 or 1860. A child was born in August 1858 in Nebraska, but the first documentation to place them in Utah is the birth of another child in December 1860 in Fillmore, Utah. Further research is needed to confirm the year they came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with.
