Emma Clarkson

She sailed from Australia on the Jenny Ford in 1856. After arriving in southern California she traveled to Utah in fall 1856. She married Alonzo Colton purportedly on 5 Nov. 1856 while in route to Utah. If that is the case, she was most likely traveling with Alonzo Colton in his small company. More research needs to be done to determine if her daughter Eleanor, from a previous marriage, traveled with her. We know that Eleanor did travel with her on the ship Jenny Ford to the United States.
