Emma Jackson was born in England on December 6th, 1830 and was the wife of Samuel Lorenzo Adams. They married in England just prior to sailing on the Ellen Maria. She was listed on the ship under her maiden name and could have continued traveling to Utah under her maiden name also. Her obituary confirms the travel of Emma and her husband to Utah with the Abraham O. Smoot Company, as does his obituary. They had 10 children and she died on May 9th, 1885 on St. George, UT.
