Emma Palmer
Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that Emma traveled to Utah in either 1858 or 1859. She sailed to America in 1857 on the ship George Washington as Emma Palmer and married a fellow passenger, Daniel Camomile, in Missouri. A child was born to them there in 1858. Emma was re-baptized 22 Oct. 1859 in the Salt Lake City Eleventh Ward. Further research is needed to determine the year the family came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with. In the 1860 Utah census the family surname is spelled "Caunmomile." Emma's birth and death dates are confirmed by her death certificate.
